Otis Richardson

James Otis Richardson Sr., 89, a resident of the Greenhouse Cottages of Southern Hills, (formerly of White Hall) passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016.

He was born April 7, 1926 in Herbine to the late George and Laura Belle Patrick Richardson.

He was a Christian of Baptist faith. Mr. Richardson was retired security guard at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and also had worked for the Pine Bluff School District. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the 10th Mountain Division in Italy, where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart. He was a life time member of the John and Roy Horn VFW Post # 4455.

Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jo Ann Dyer Richardson; son, Ronnie Richardson; grandson, Russell ‘Rusty’ Richardson; four brothers; five sisters.

He is survived by: son, James Otis (Kaye) Richardson Jr.; two grandsons, Clint and Phillip Richardson; granddaughters, Kaye Lynn (Robert) Johnston, Rhonda (Wes) Mode; eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Tuesday,  at Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Dennis Owens officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centennial Fellowship Church building fund.
