Curtis Carr

Curtis Edward Carr, 68, of New Edinburg, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.

Curtis was born July 10, 1949, in Warren, and was a retired welder, member and deacon of Emmaus Missionary Baptist Church. His father Ed Carr preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife Wanda McClellan Carr whom he married December 15, 1967. His mother Betty Collins Carr of Warren; two daughters Karen Smith and spouse Patrick of White Hall, and Amy Harper and spouse Chris of Monticello; two sisters Sherry White of Warren, and Carolyn Inzer of England; four grandchildren Hunter Smith, Carson Smith, Pryor Harper, and Pierson Harper.

Funeral service was Saturday, September 30, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Mike Taylor and Rev. David Inzer officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist were David Harper, Karen Smith, and Amy Harper. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Kenny Williams, Freddy Gullett, Danny Norris, Danny Green, David Harper, Jamie Wagnon, Keith Thornton, and Luke Vickers.

Honorary pallbearers were Ken Simmons, Walter Dal Santo, Conway Thompson, and Marion Calvert.
