Emmett Martin Cope, 77, of Warren, passed away December 31, 2017, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.
Born April 3, 1940, in Rye, he was a son to the late Noah A. and Floy Curry Cope.
Emmett attended Woodlawn School until eighth grade, then transferred to Warren where he graduated in 1958. He served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964. He worked for 40 years for Crow-Burlingame Company until he retired in 2000.
Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Dorothy Cope Brightwell.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Ferguson Cope; his daughter, Karen Cope Smith (Neil) of Woodbridge, Virginia; a brother, David Cope (Mary) of Helena-West Helena; a sister, Jerrilyn Cope Bulloch (Bobby) of Huntsville, Texas; and three nieces and three nephews.
Services were Friday, January 5, 2018, at Frazer’s Chapel in Warren. Burial was at Union Hill Cemetery in Ingalls by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren.
Active pallbearers were Donnie Rice, Neil Smith, Mike Berry, Dr. John Durmon, Robert Donald Curry, Jeff Brightwell and Jason Cunningham.
Honorary pallbearers were Donald Stuard, Glen Ashcraft, Bobby Bulloch, and Fincher Hunting Club.
