Berniece McClain

   Berniece Wright McClain, 81, of Warren, died Friday, November 7, 2008, at Spring, Texas.
  Born May 21, 1927, at Warren, she was a daughter of the late Bert Wright and Eunice B. Kelly Wright.
  She was a retired secretary at Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a member and served as a Sunday School teacher. She was also a retired clerk from West Brothers and Carl’s Shoes.
  She was the widow of Herman Hines, who was killed in France during World War II, and Roy Wilson McClain, who died August 8, 1999.
  Also preceding her in death was a son, Bruce Douglas McClain; three brothers, Lester Wright, Pete Bernard Wright and Jessie Wright; and a sister, Clara Wright.
  Survivors include a son, Ronald Gary McClain and spouse Debbie of Spring, Texas; a daughter, Linda Gail Montgomery and spouse Bill of Russellville; three sisters, Mae Castleberry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mildred Smith of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Shirley Norris of Camden; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Frazer’s Chapel in Warren with Rev. Cliff Mayton and Rev. David Richey officiating. Linda Barrett was organist, Bob Haygood and the Immauel Baptist Church Choir sang. Burial was in Union Cemtery at Rye by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren.
  Active pallbearers were Bruce McClain, Mart McClain, Mike Montgomery, Bucky Wright, Bill Slaughter and Rick Anders.
  Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Castleberry, Paul Harton, Paul Cash, Harvey Helton, Dr. Kerry Pennington, M.D., Clyde Castleberry and Baker Peebles.
