Louie Cleveland Briant, 83, of Warren, died Wednesday, November, 12, 2008, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home in Warren.
  Born June 30, 1925, at New Edinburg, he was a son of the late Walter Cleveland Briant and Mattie Thompson Briant.
  He was a retired welder from Potlatch Corporation and a member of Willoughby Freewill Baptist Church.
  He was the widower of Dorothy Lene Briant, who died June 24, 1996. They were united in marriage on February 17, 1943.
  Also preceding him in death was a brother, Herbert Briant; two sisters, Lucille Cox and Eunice Phillips; and a grandson, Jason Wade Grider.
  Survivors include a son, Cleve Briant of Warren; two daughters, Barbara Grider of Warren and Wanda Durham of Alexander; one brother, Charles Ray Briant of Rowell; four grandchildren, Leslie Taylor, Libby Mann, Stephan Durham and Williams Briant; and eight great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were Satruday, November 15, 2008, at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Rev. Victor Hunter officiating. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery.
  Active pallbearers were Charles White, Stephan Durham, Joey Mann, Anthony Taylor, Clifton Briant, William Briant, Bill Durham and Kenneth Briant.
