RISON - The Cleveland County School Board voted in June meeting to move its July meeting to 7:30 p.m. this Thursday, July 11, in the administration building.This week's meeting will be the first school board meeting under new Superintendent Davy King, who officially assumed his new position on July 1. King was previously the director of athletics, maintenance and transportation for the school district.King succeeds Jerrod Williams, who completed a one-year contract with the school district on June 27.While the board usually meets the second Monday of each month, Williams recommended during the June school board meeting that the July meeting be rescheduled to a later date to allow more time to close out the books on the 2023-24 school year. ...
