RISON - The Rison in the Fall Festival is reaching vendor capacity, organizer Douglas Boultinghouse has announced.
The festival, set for Saturday, Oct. 7 in downtown Rison, is expected to have a record number of vendors this year with more than 40 vendors selling a variety of items and foods.
"We expanded our space for vendors this year to include more for our attendees, and those have nearly filled up," Boultinghouse said. "Currently we have three vendor spaces available." Anyone interested in claiming one of those spaces should contact Boultinghouse at (870) 5102433 or risoninthefall@gmail.com to secure the booth space. The vendor fee is $50.
Boultinghouse said there are a handful of registrations still in progress at this time, so a full list of the vendors and festival map will not be available until later this week.
"We have a lot of new vendors this year we can't wait to welcome to Rison," he said. "But I am excited to reveal that two of our most popular food vendors from the past three events are making a return to Rison in the Fall this year." Both the Pizza Trailer and Taco Shellz will be at the festival in addition to other food vendors.
The Pizza Trailer, a popular truck featuring wood-fired artisan pizza from 2021 will be back.
"The only complaint I got from attendees at the 2022 festival was that the pizza trailer couldn't be here due to a scheduling conflict," said Boultinghouse. "People came last year specifically looking for them, so I went looking for them this year to make sure we could get them scheduled." Taco Shellz made its debut last year and was a huge success with festival attendees with their street tacos, burritos, quesadillas and street corn.
"We can't wait to have them back this year," Boultinghouse said.
Teasing the rest of the food lineup coming later this week, he said attendees can expect barbecue, catfish, shrimp, burgers, desserts, drinks and traditi...
