Food Truck Friday Set For Aug. 16 at Pioneer Village

RISON - August's Food Truck Friday event will be held Friday, Aug. 16 at the Pioneer Village from 4 to 8 p.m.

Participating food trucks are: 

Taco Shellz with street tacos, burritos, quesadillas, agua frescas, street corn cups and more.

Brothers Food Trailer with cajun dishes including egg rolls, gumbo, red beans and rice, boudan balls, frog logs and fried shrimp.

Lybrand Park N Go with boba teas in a variety of fruit flavors, pastries and more.

Beginning at 6 p.m., live entertainment will be provided by Angelica Glass, a past performer at Rison in the Fall and member of the Cleveland County Community Theater and Pine Bluff Arts Center.

The Rison Farmers Market will offer free vendor space for produce, crafts and more. To reserve a space, email risonshines@gmail.com Food Truck Friday is a partnership event between Rison Shine Community Development and the Pioneer Village.

The monthly event, held the third Friday of each month, has proven successful to organizers. Trucks are scheduled through the end of the year with plans underway to continue monthly into next year.
