Free Firearms Classes To Be Held July 13, 20

FORDYCE - Free basic firearms training and safety classes are being offered at 9 a.m. Saturday, 13, and at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Fordcye Methodist Church, organizers have announced.Topics to be covered include: Arkansas firearm laws and your responsibilities; basic firearms function and knowledge; firearms safety; firearms and children, Castle Doctrine; active shooter situations; discussions about gun registration; CHCL who can carry and how; "Shoot-Don't Shoot" situations; and more.The class will be followed by a live fire practice. Organizers ad-vise those attending to be prepared for a long day.Class participants must be 18 years old or older. Each class is limited to 40 people.
