RISON - Gregory Patrick, 60, of the Rowell community, was sentenced to seven years in prison after a Cleveland County jury found him guilty of possession of a firearm by certain person in Cleveland County Circuit Court last Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the courthouse in Rison. Circuit Judge David Talley presided over the case.Patrick was charged as a habitual offender since he had four or more prior felony convictions. Possession of a fireman by certain persons is a Class D felony.Court records show that Patrick was found with a 12-gauge shotgun and live ammunition on April 28, 2023. Since he had a prior felony conviction, he could not possess a firearm. ...
