RISON - The Cleveland County Veterans Association will host its annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner Saturday, Oct. 26, organizers John Blanchard, Roger McClellan and Randy Morgan have announced.Guest Speaker will be Major General (Ret) Kendall Penn. Penn was appointed as the 2nd Secretary of the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs in 2023. He had previously served for over 34 years in the Arkansas National Guard, culminating as the Adjutant General, a position he held for three years.The dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.Dorey's will cater the dinner with a fish and chicken buffet for $15 per person.All Veterans and one guest eat free at the dinner.The dinner will be held inside the exhibit hall and will include a special program.
