RISON - Local businesses in downtown Rison are planning to kick off the holiday shopping season just before the big game kicks off in Rison, Friday, Nov. 18 by hosting a Holiday Open House.
Participating businesses throughout Rison will have holi‐day specials, product samples, refreshments, prize drawings and more during the event.
Most will have extended hours through 6 p.m. or later leading up to the football play-off game beginning at 7 p.m.
Businesses scheduled to be open during the holiday event include My Berry Patch, Twisted Mule Mercantile, Cleveland County Herald, El Girasol Mexican Restaurant, Pizza Pro, Rison Pharmacy, Triple Cross BBQ and Main Street Cafe.
Santa Claus is expected to make a special appearance at Main Street Cafe.
