Cummings Seeks Info On Illegal Tire Dump

RISON - County Judge Jimmy Cummings is asking for the public's help in finding the person responsible for dumping approximately 200 tires on the side of Dunkeffie Road near the railroad in northern Cleveland County."This was most likely someone from outside Cleveland County and likely has a tire changing service," Cummings said."The dumping of tires in Arkansas at any unapproved site is illegal," he said. Also, anyone with cameras set up around the Dunkeffie Road area that may have captured photos of a vehicle transporting tires ton contact the sheriff's department with that information."It is possible that someone may have evidence on their trail camera," Cummings said. "Illegal dumping of tires can result in severe fines." Cummings did not have a figure as to how much it will cost the county to clean up the illegal tire dump. He said he will have to send a crew along with equipment and a dump truck to remove the debris.
