RISON - The second annual Cruisin' Cleveland County Bike Ride will kick off at 7:45 a.m. this Saturday, June 15.Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with a Community Breakfast hosted by the Pioneer Village, open to the public. The breakfast will offer sausage gravy and biscuits, as well as breakfast burritos.The event is organized by the City of Rison, Cleveland County Officials, the Kickstart Cleveland County Community Development Initiative groups, and Darren Austin, a representative of Arkansas Parks and Tourism.This year, a portion of each entry fee will be donated to Cleveland County Cares, the Pioneer Village at Rison, and to the Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Food Pantry.The ride consists of three route options that begin and end at the Pioneer Village at Rison (200 Yaney Street). The ride lengths range from 21 to 65 miles around the county with some routes crossing the Saline River.The registration fee is $50 and includes a t-shirt and other items.
