RISON - A jury was seated and the trial began in Cleveland County Circuit Court Tuesday in the first degree murder trial of Emily Brown, accused of killing Christopher Miller, 38, of Greenwood, on Aug. 6, 2022, at a residence in the Macedonia community about seven miles south of Rison.The trail went into recess Tuesday afternoon, and is expected to resume today (Wednesday, June 26).According to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department, deputies found Miller dead in the yard of a residence on Brown Road with multiple gunshot wounds. The sheriff's department reported that the shooting occurred during an altercation between Miller and Brown, who was 31 at the time.
