WOODLAWN - Woodlawn High School will begin the 2024 Homecoming Activities on Thursday, Sept. 26 with the annual afternoon Homecoming Ceremony beginning at 2:30 p.m., school will be dismissed immediately after. On Thursday evening, the Homecoming Ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. for spectators to be admitted. The ceremonies will end with the crowning of the 2024 Football Sweetheart and the 2024 Homecoming Queen.This year's theme is "Sunset's Fade Memories Last Forever." The Mascots will be Abigail Wright and Austin Quail, both first graders at Woodlawn.On Friday, Sept. 27, High School Students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m. to get a sack lunch to carry over to the football field. At 1:15 p.m., the elementary classes will be dismissed to the football field where a pep rally will begin as soon as students are in the stands and done with lunch.
