Letter: Miller Honored At OBU With Locker Room Naming

On Saturday, Oct. 19, a dedication was held at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia in honor of our brother, William Miller.I would like to thank our family members who attended: Gwen Henry, Rhonda, Rodney and Trent Lawson of Rison, and Taylor Lawson, who is an employee at OBU.A new facility was built by Tab Turner, Attorney at Law, named for William and himself, the Miller-Turner Locker Room. The dedication made my family proud to be honored during the daytime ceremony and at half-time that night as OBU defeated No. 1-ranked Harding University. This will give all young athletes who made it to attend college and play sports an opportunity to explore and explat their talents. The building has state-of-the-art equipment, a nutrition room named after another former player and friend of my late brother, Ezekial “Zeke” Vaughn, who passed two years after William. The hospitality was so awesome. Thank you all, A.D. David Shor, Coach Knight, the OBU players, former and present, Mrs. Benson and all those that made this event happen.Let me not forget Tab Turner who will always be a part of our lives, because he will not forget Williams’ legacy.Love,The Miller FamilyAnd his Extended Family...
