WOODLAWN - Woodlawn took advantage of 10 walks and five hit batters as the Bears blanked the Fordyce Redbugs, 15-0, in four innings Tuesday afternoon at Woodlawn.The Bears improved to 17-4 overall and 4-0 in 8-2A conference play with the league win.After a scoreless first inning, Woodlawn broke the game open with 10 runs in the second inning.Hollis Holderfield led it off with a single before the next two batters, Cash Hargis and Tyner Burris, were hit by pitches to load the bases. Logan Clark and Parker Arnold both drew walks to push the first two runs across. Mason Edmonds followed with a two-run single to make it 4-0.After Peyton Wells was hit, Garrett Weatherford knocked in a run, and the Bears added another on Tate Hall's ground out.Holderfield, in his second trip to the plate, delivered a single into center that scored two more to make it 8-0.The next two runs came off a hit batter and walk with the bases loaded, extend the lead to 10-0.Woodlawn did not score in the third, but invoked the 15-run rule with five runs in the bottom of the fourth.Two walks and a hit batter filled the bases with no outs. Luke Jacks and Edmonds then both scored off back-to-back errors before Dakota Campbell singled to drive in another run. Tyler French eventually drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 150 and end the game.Ty Motes picked up the pitching victory for the Bears. He gave up two hits with one walk while striking out six over four innings.Holderfield went 3-for-3 with one RBI to lead Woodlawn at the plate.
