RISON - Dylan Dedman, a junior at Rison High School, was elected as the Arkansas State Beta Club Secretary in the 81st annual Arkansas Senior Beta Club Convention.
This is the eighth consecutive secretarial candidate win for Rison High School.
The candidate's campaign skit placed 5th overall.
Sophomore Mallory Stuckey won the overall dance award in Solo, Duo, Trio Talent and was named a premiere performer by the judges panel.
Rison High School students placed in the top five in the following academic testing categories: Elissa Summar, 10th Grade Biomedical Science; Tyler Bass, 11th Grade French; Dylan Dedman, 11th Grade Social Studies.
Representatives from RHS also competed in Living Literature, Fine Arts Color and Black and White Photography, Digital Art, Woodworking, Mixed Media, Apparel Design, and other academic testing categories.
