RISON - Rison Mayor Charles Roberts has proclaimed Feb. 1117 as Rison FBLA Week.
'Just for some insight, FBLA stands for future business leaders of America,' said Roberts. 'FBLA teaches members a variety of skills, including but not limited to, business management, financial management, public speaking and business interactions.'
In the past three years, Rison High School's FBLA chapter has raised over $2,500 for Arkansas Children's Hospital, and have been able to provide Christmas presents for seven children in the community through the Cleveland County Angel Tree (DHS), and Cleveland County Cares. FBLA offers multiple scholarships for its members as well, with $2,500 worth of scholarships over the past three years.
