Vendor Hubs Setting Up Around County for Junk Hunt

RISON - The spring run of the Great South Arkansas Junk Hunt will kick off March 7-10 across the southern portion of the state featuring more than 600 miles of yard sales.The Great South Arkansas Junk Hunt is the merged route of the former Historic Hwy. 35 Junk Hunt and the Hwy. 79-63 Junk Hunt Loop, both of which Cleveland County served as the epicenter.Organizer and founder Jennifer Via said the merger creates one large route of sales to be held twice a year, and now spread over four days instead of three.A fall run of the junk hunt will take place Oct. 10-13. Along the route in various towns, vendor hubs will be set up hosting multiple sales at one stop.At this time, there are four hubs in Cleveland County, covering Rison, Kingsland, New Edinburg and Woodlawn. (see JUNK page 3) As the Junk Hunt draws closer, a pinned post on the Great South Arkansas Junk Hunt Facebook Page will be updated with new hubs.“If you've got a hub where you're opening up space to set up sales, message us on the Facebook page and we’ll get it added,” Via said.Via said it is important to note that each vendor hub varies on which days they are open. Some are only doing Thursday-Sunday, and some are only doing Thursday- Saturday.
