RISON - Darcy Howard and Carly Freyaldenhoven from the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society will be discussing the April 8 solar eclipse from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at the Cleveland County Library, 203 Magnolia in Rison.The program is part of the NASA Partner Eclipse Ambassadors program in conjunction with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service.Cleveland County will be just outside the path of totality during the eclipse with about 97 to 99 percent of the sun being covered by the moon. The program will discuss how to prepare for the solar eclipse and how to view it safely.
