McGEHEE - Rison got off a nice start but the McGehee Lady Owls quickly erased that momentum as they rolled to a 12-6 win over the Lady Wildcats Tuesday afternoon at McGehee.The 8-3A conference loss dropped the Lady 'Cats to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in league play.Carlese Johnson's single with one out in the top of the first drove in Layne Potter and Riley Hyatt to give Rison a quick 2-0 lead. Johnson eventually scored on a hit by Elissa Summar to make it 3-0.McGehee, however, answered with six runs in the bottom of the first, all coming after the first two batters were retired. The Lady Owls used three singles, two walks and two errors to go up 6-3.The Lady Owls added two more runs in the second to extend their lead to 8-3.Rison scored a run in the third on Haven Simpson's sacrifice bunt, but McGehee answered with three more in the bottom of the fifth and another in the sixth to make it 12-4.The Lady Wildcats final two runs came in the top of the seventh off a two-run homerun from Hyatt.Johnson took the pitching loss for Rison. She gave up 12 hits and four walks while striking out three over seven innings....
