DUMAS - The Rison Wildcats suffered a heartbreaking 40-34 loss to the Dumas Bobcats on the final play of the game Friday night, despite a strong start and a back-and-forth offensive battle that kept fans on edge until the last second.The game couldn’t have started better for Rison. On the first play from scrimmage, Dumas fumbled, and Tanner Collins recovered for the Wildcats. Jeremiah Marshall capitalized immediately, breaking free for a 29-yard touchdown run with 11:08 left in the opening quarter. The two-point attempt was stopped, but Rison led early, 6-0.After Dumas failed to convert on a fourth-and-20 pass deep in Rison territory, the Wildcats turned the ball over on an interception just three plays later. The Bobcats made them pay, scoring on a seven-yard run to tie the game at 6-6 with 4:23 left in the first.Rison answered quickly.
