Woodlawn scored 32 points in the first quarter as the Bears blew past the Marvell Mustangs, 60-20, in a South Conference game last Friday night at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. Griffin Manes, who ran for a game-high 138 yards on nine carries, scored four rushing touchdowns on runs of 2, 4, 35 and 38 yards while pulling a 34-yard pass from quarterback Ethan Saeler for another score. Saeler had 75 yards rushing on five attempts with a 20-yard TD run. Woodlawn improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in conference action with the wins. The Bears can win the South Conference title outright by beating the 3-1 Brinkley Tigers this Friday night in the regular season finale at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. The Juniors Bears are also shooting for a conference championship after knocking off the Junior Mustangs, 30-20, They are 4-0 in conference play and 6-2 overall.
