WOODLAWN - Layne Potter, Josey Edwards and MacKenzie King finished with three hits apiece as the Rison Lady Wildcats used a six-run third inning to knock off the Woodlawn Lady Bears, 10-5, last Friday evening in a showdown for the 8-2A regular season championship at Lady Bear Field.

WOODLAWN - Dillon Lunsford's bases-loaded triple in the bottom of the sixth pushed Woodlawn in front for the final time as the Bears clinched the 82A conference championship with a 9-6 win over the Ouachita Warriors Tuesday at Woodlawn.

RISON - Peyton Wells and Brayden Jones combined to throw a two-hitter last Friday as the Woodlawn Bears knocked off the Rison Wildcats, 13-1, in six innings at Wildcat Field. This second matchup between the Cleveland County rivals played out differently than the first time when the Bears had to hold off a late Wildcat rally for a 9-8 win at Woodlawn.

DONALDSON - Ouachita scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings then had a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth as the Warriors rallied past the Rison Wildcats, 65, Monday afternoon at Donaldson. The 8-2A conference loss dropped Rison to 5-6 in league play and 7-10 overall.

MONTICELLO – Monticello pitcher Alaina Lyle threw a twohitter and struck out 13 as the Lady Billies moved to 20-0 overall with an 8-0 victory over the Woodlawn Lady Bears Monday at Monticello. It was the Lady Billies' 15th shutout of the season.

FORDYCE - Garrett Weatherford and Parker Arnold had RBI singles in the top of the ninth as the Woodlawn Bears escaped Fordyce with a 6-4 win over the Redbugs Tuesday evening at Fordyce. It was Woodlawn's 12th consecutive victory as the Bears remain perfect in 8-2A conference play at 9-0 and are 23-1 overall.

FORDYCE - A seven-day layoff between games didn't seem to impact the Woodlawn Lady Bears much Monday as they cranked out 17 hits in a 24-0 demolition of the Fordyce Ladybugs in an 8-2A conference game at Fordyce.

GURDON - The Rison Lady Wildcats placed in five events at the Georgia Pacific Relays held at Gurdon High School last Thursday, Coach Cicely GreenSimpson announced. Josie Farrer finished third in the 400 meter run while the 4x400 meter relay team of Kayla Jackson, Mercy Cer, Lara Sotres and Josie Farrer was third as well.

RISON - The Rison Lady Wildcats scored 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to answer nine runs put up by the Parkers Chapel Lady Trojans in the top of the frame as Rison came away with a 15-10 win Tuesday afternoon at Lady Wildcat Field.

RISON - After seeing a fiverun lead evaporate with a sevenrun fourth inning by the Parkers Chapel Trojans, the Rison Wildcats answered with eight runs in the bottom of the frame before going on to invoke the 10-run rule with an 18-8 victory in six innings Tuesday at Wildcat Field.
