RISON - The Cleveland County Conservation District and the Arkansas Association of Conservation Districts will be hosting at Farmers Conservation Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, 309 Mockingbird Lane in Rison. Lunch will be provided.Guest speakers will include Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) personnel on poultry, forestry, crop land and pasture/grazing improvements.In addition, University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service agents will be part of the program as well as an Arkansas Game & Fish Commission (AGFC) private land biologist and representatives form the State Forestry Commission.The Cleveland County Conservation District is working to educate all farmers on available grants and programs increase production.Program sponsors include 4M Equipment, Batesville Poultry Equipment, Lumberjack Yamaha and River Valley Tractor....
