RISON - The Rison Volunteer Fire Department will host Leon’s Catfish for a fundraiser lunch Monday, April 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.$20 tickets can be purchased from a firefighter, or at the Herald office, 215 Main Street. Firefighters include Alan Parnell, Bruce Grubb, Nick Bennett, Wayne Wells, Travis Bell, Lee Freeman, Antwione Gray, Curtis Marks, Jason Phillips, Keden Shrum, Richard Taylor, Tristian Ward, Blaine Wells, Brylane Wells, Kendrick Whitaker and Justin May.Plates include three pieces of fish or chicken, fries and hushpuppies.“We are trying to update some equipment and need our community's support to do so,” said the Fire Department in a statement. “We will host a series of fundraising events in the future, and this is the first.”Meals can be picked up at the fire station, 510 Sycamore Street on April 28....
