WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn School Board approved the hiring of a new football coach and other personnel during a special-called meeting Tuesday night.Doug Means, an assistant football coach at Magnolia High School and former head coach at Norphlet and Hampton, was approved to take over for Woodlawn football coach Zach Meyer, who stepped down to become Woodlawn Elementary principal.In addition, the school board approved hiring Alaina Wilcox as an elementary teacher, and beginning paying Meyer the daily rate as elementary principal and Tony Holderfield the daily rate as maintenance director effective June 1.The school board also accepted the resignation of teacher Britney Sipes....
