RISON - Two fundraising efforts have been organized by community members to benefit Ronnie and Sandra Coleman of Rison.
Ronnie, a former county road department employee, is currently battling stage four cancer.
Sandra, owner of Main Street Cafe in Rison, has been trying to keep the cafe running, and tend to finances while also being at the hospital with her husband.
Keden Shrum, minister at Rison Church of Christ, worked with Sandra's sister, Amber Blankenship, to launch a Go-FundMe to support the Colemans online at https://www.gofundme.com/f/ronnie-is-battling-cancer-that-is-now-stg-4-lung
Shrum also put together a drawing for a dinner for four (or four individual dinners). Donations are $5 per ticket, or five for $20. To make a donation, contact Shrum at (870) 325-7204, or stop by Main Street Cafe. The drawing will be held Sept. 30.
Blankenship also encourages people to support the Coleman family by dining at the cafe. Donations can also be made at the Cafe in lieu of giving online.
