RISON - Rison Shine Community Development announced this week that the 2023 Cleveland County Christmas Parade will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, along Main Street in downtown Rison.
This year's parade with coincide with a Christmas Open House featuring the businesses in the downtown area, and there will also be free booth space for churches, businesses or civic groups to set up in the downtown area.
Parade organizers are encouraging local school classes, churches, businesses and other groups to put together a float for the parade. Floats will gather at the Pioneer Village and make their way through the Green House Cottages of Southern Hills before heading north on Main Street.
Following the parade, the drive-thru Christmas light display at the Pioneer Village will be open. The Pioneer Village is also finalizing plans for its Christmas in the Village Festival to be held Saturday, Dec. 2.
