County Fair Sees Record Exhibitors

RISON - The number of exhibitors entering various items in the Cleveland County Fair was up by about 50 percent, Fair Board President Roy Phillips reported following the completion of this year's event on Saturday.Phillips said they had a record 196 people enter items in this year's fair where the number is usually between 100 to 115 per year.He attributed the record number to students. Rison High School's agriculture program had several entries as well as art students from both Rison and Woodlawn Schools.While the number of exhibitors was up, Phillips said the number of overall entries remained about the same as last year....
