RISON - The Cleveland Couty Republican Committee has announced it will hold a second political forum on March 19 featuring the runoff candidates for Cleveland County Judge: Jim Houston of the Rye community and Stephen McClellan of New Edinburg.The forum will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the Family Life Center at Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church, 2230 Hwy. 35 North at Rison. Bro. Mike Goodwin, pastor of Bethel #1, will serve as moderator.The public is invited to attend. The Cleveland County Herald is planning to again stream the forum live over its Facebook page.Pat Berry, chairman of the the Cleveland County Republican Committee, said the committee is again soliciting questions from the public to be asked during the forum. Questions should be related to concerns or issues the county judge can address once in office. Questions can be emailed to pat@w5ees.com and should be submitted by this Sunday, March 15.Berry said the committee will select as many questions as they will have time to present during the forum. He noted that the questions will not be shared with the candidates beforehand. Questions selected for the forum will be placed in a container, and the candidates will draw the question that will be presented to both candidates by the moderator. Each candidate will have up to 5 minutes to respond.There will be some time after the forum where the public will have an opportunity for one-on-one questions with the candidates....
