RISON - The opening of this year’s Food Truck Friday series has been pushed back a month due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.The event will now return to the Pioneer Village, Friday, May 2 from 4 to 7 p.m.“One of the scheduled trucks for this Friday had to cancel due to issues with equipment, and with heavy rain and storms predicted for Friday, we made the call to cancel April’s event,” said Douglas Boultinghouse, a representative for Rison Shine Community Development and the Pioneer Village.An announcement with participating trucks for May will be shared soon to the Rison Shine and Pioneer Village Facebook pages.Boultinghouse confirmed that Matt Wilkerson will perform at the May 2 date, as previously scheduled for April.The Rison Farmers Market will offer free vendor space for produce and crafts.
