RISON - Rae Payne, 47, of Fordyce, died early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle accident along Hwy. 79 at the Panther Creek bridge in Kingsland, Arkansas State Police reported.
Payne, according the state police report, was driving a 2005 Honda Accord southbound along Hwy. 79 when she lost control, struck a guardrail and left the highway before striking a tree. The accident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, June 4.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cleveland County Coroner's office. State Police said she was the only person in the vehicle.
Weather conditions were reported clear and road conditions dry at the time of the accident.
