Kickstart Cleveland County Honors 10 Years with Banquet May 22

RISON - Kickstart Cleveland County Community Development, Inc., will mark 10 years of its organizations across the county Thursday, May 22 with a special banquet at 6 p.m. at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.Dr. Mark Peterson, former professor of community and economic development with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture's Cooperative Extension Service at Little Rock, will be the guest speaker at the event.Peterson was instrumental in helping the kickstart initiative begin in 2015 which has grown to include sub-organizations such as Rison Shine Community Development, Inc., the Pioneer Village, Inc., Kickstart Kings-land, Re-New-ing Edinburg, the Cleveland County Community Theater, Cleveland County Fair Board and Wake Up Woodlawn.Volunteers from 2024 will be honored at the event as well.A menu and more details will be announced soon.The banquet is free thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Community Theater.
