KINGSLAND - Mayor Sharon Crosby announced Tuesday that the regular monthly meeting of the Kingsland City Council has been moved to 6 p.m. this Thursday, Jan. 11, at Kingsland City Hall to allow the city to approve a resolution involving two street projects.
Last month, the City of Kingsland was informed by the Arkansas State Aid Street Committee that it had been awarded a $300,000 grant to overlay 0.2 miles of Holman Street and surface 0.53 miles of Bear State Street through the State Aid City Street fund.
Crosby said she learned earlier this week that the city needs to approve a resolution supporting the fund before the projects can move forward. Rather than calling a special meeting before the regular monthly on Jan. 25, Crosby said she reached out to the council members about moving the regular monthly meeting to this Thursday, Jan. 11. She said they agreed.
The Kingsland City Council usually meets at 6 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at Kingsland City Hall.
