Both Rison and New Edinburg hosted community Easter egg hunts last Saturday in anticipation of the Easter holiday this weekend.

Rison Shine and the Pioneer Village joined forces to put on the Cleveland County Egg Hunt and Breakfast with Bunny at the Pioneer Village. After a breakfast of pancakes, sausage and juice, the youth were allowed to comb the grounds of the Pioneer Village looking for plastic eggs filled with candy and one special prize, a certificate for a new Razor scooter. Douglas Boultinghouse with Rison Shine said more than 80 people attended the event, the majority of which were children.

Trina Kemp and Linda Hornaday, volunteers with Re-New-ing Edinburg, are pictured behind an Easter bunny cutout used to decorate the grounds of the New Edinburg Community Center. The Community Center and Re-New-ing Edinbug hosted for their community egg hunt last Saturday morning as well. In addition to the egg hunt, the event included games, snacks and an Easter egg relay race.
