New Home Club

Body

Submitted by Marilyn Glaze

The New Home club had its meeting July 8 and Charlene Dixon's. We had three members present. Charlene welcomed us and we all said the Home‐maker's Creed. Gerald Dixon read the devotional 'Body of Christ' Romans 12-5. The roll call was Marilyn reading the minutes from the last meeting.

Our program was 'air fryer cooking,' a really good program with a lot of tips to help you to cook with your air fryer. Our thought of the month was 'one should eat to live, not live to eat' by Socrates. My mother really believed you should eat the minute you walked in the house. Our eye-opener was quilts by Charlene, really beautiful ones too. The helpful hint was: For an inexpensive cookbook holder, use a pants hanger to clip pages together.

We discussed our business and how to fix out booth for the fair. The reminders were that the fair is Sept. 15-17 at the County Fairgrounds.

We all said the Homemaker's Prayer and had a very good meal by Charlene.

*** The New Home club had its meeting Aug. 8 at Gerald and Charlene Dixon's home. Char‐lene welcomed everyone and we all repeated the EHC creed. Our meeting this month was a 'Club Choice.' Our club chose a pro‐gram on COVID. There is so much of it going around again and we decided that it would be a good program to have. The thought was 'No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of another,' by Charles Dickens.

Our devotional was read by Gerald. The roll call was min‐utes from last month read by Marilyn Glaze. The eye opener was quilts made by Charlene. They all were beautiful and re‐minded me of my mother. She made many beautiful quilts and she really enjoyed it.

Our helpful hint was to 'clean and sanitize your sponge by wedging it into the dishwasher and wasih it along with a load of dishes. We discussed our fair booth for next month's fair. I am so happy we get to have it again. Everyone needs to get their projects ready. I'm sure it'll be a good one this year. We all re‐peated the EHC club prayer. Ev‐eryone had a very good meal.
