No Date Set Yet For CCSB Meeting

RISON - Superintendent Jerrod Williams said Tuesday he has not been able to find a date yet as to when all six members of the Cleveland County School Board can meet to address a school board vacancy as well as how the board will approach the search for a new superintendent. Williams said they have had interest from someone willing to serve as the Zone 4 representative but the board will need to approve the appointment. That vacancy arose last November when long-time board member Stan Sadler resigned. The person appointed must be approved by the school board, and will complete the remainder of Sadler's term, which ends in 2026. Whoever is appointed will be eligible to run for that position after the term has expired. In addition, Williams said he will visit with the board about the search for a new superintendent.
