RISON - The Cleveland County Quorum Court has moved its January meeting to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, due to a conflict with the New Year's Day holiday. The meeting will be held at the Hall-Morgan Veterans Building rather than the courtroom inside the courthouse.
The quorum usually meets on the first Monday of each month, but this month that date fell on Jan. 2, which was the day the county was observing the New Year's Day holiday.
One order of business to be addressed Monday is setting the time, day and place for its regular monthly meetings in 2023. There has been discussion of moving the quorum court meetings to the Veterans Building since it has easier access than the second-floor courtroom at the courthouse.
