RISON - The Rison United Methodist Church Food Pantry/Outreach Committee is sponsoring a Dorey’s Fish Fry Thursday,May 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $17.00 each, and all proceeds go to the purchase of food for the Food Pantry.“Through our affiliation with the ArkansasFood Bank, our monthly Fook Pantry has grown, and now it serves over one hundred families,” said Pam Martin.The pantry has expanded its offerings to include fresh produce and, when available, frozen meats.“Our goal of making this food distribution a community effort is being realized, for now we have help from the Y EHC and from members of other churches in our area.
