RISON - The annual Rison School Prayer Walk will be held at 6:30 p.m. this Sunday, Aug. 13, starting at the flagpole in front of Rison High School.
In what has become an annual tradition on the Sunday evening before the first day of school each year, prayers for a safe syear at the Rison School campus are made at different locations around the campus.
Those taking part will begin with a prayer in front of the high school before proceeding for a prayer stop in front of the Pride Building and then in front of Rison Elementary. A final prayer will be held again in front of Rison High School.
This year's Prayer Walk is being organized by Pastor Mike Goodwin of Bethel #1 Missionary Baptist Church at Rison. He asked that any local church leaders who would like to participate please call or text him at (870) 904-2091.
