Sanchez Leads Woodlawn High School Class of 2023

WOODLAWN - Woodlawn High School graduated 38 students as part of the senior class of 2023 in a ceremony Tuesday evening, May 16, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Of the 38 students, 16 seniors graduated with honors, including: Valedictorian Kendall Sanchez: Kendall is the daughter of Jason and Tamara Sanchez. She plans to attend Arkansas State University where she will major in Biology. Salutatorian Kamryn Demetre: Kamryn is the daughter of Jeremy and Ashley Stratton. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she will major in philosophy with an emphasis in legal and moral studies. Honor Graduate Kayla Bass: Kayla is the daughter of Amanda Durham and William Bass and the granddaughter of Thelma Ault. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith where she will major in Graphic Design. Honor Graduate Kimberly Bright: Kimberly is the daughter of Angela Bright and the late Ernest Bright. She plans to attend Southeast Arkansas College where she will major in Early Childhood Education. Honor Graduate Ashton Castillo: Ashton is the daughter of Whitney Lackey and Jesse Lunsford. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she will major in ultrasound technology. Honor Graduate Josie Harrison: Josie is the daughter of Roger and Julie Harrison. She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University where she will major in Exercise Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Honor Graduate Christopher Highsmith: Christopher is the son of Boyd and Gina Savage. He plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University where he will major in Civil Engineering.
