RISON - Anyone interested in learning more about severe weather and possibly becoming a storm spotter is encouraged to attend a Skywarn class to held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Hall-Morgan Veterans Building, 404 Sycamore Street across the courthouse in Rison.Skywarn is a program developed by the National Weather Service. The training is free and typically lasts about two hours. The class will cover the basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure identifying potential severe weather features, information to report and how to report it, and basic severe weather safety....
