Village Hosting Festivities; Cottages Plan Fireworks

RISON - Two neighboring facilities in Rison will join forces to host Fourth of July celebrations for the community, Tuesday, July 4 with fireworks, food and family fun.

The Pioneer Village will kick off the festivities at 7 p.m. with hot dogs, watermelon and ice cream. This event is free to the public, though donations to the Pioneer Village are appreciated by organizers.

Next to the Village, the Green House Cottages of Southern Hills will kick off their annual fireworks spectacular for the nursing home residents and the community around 9 p.m.

Prior to the fireworks, Harley Freeman will perform the National Anthem around 8:55 p.m.
