RISON - The Cleveland County Extension Office and 4H program will hold an interest meeting Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Rison High School Cafeteria beginning at 5:30 p.m. According to Danielle Watson, the county’s 4-H and Family/ Consumer Science Extension Agent, the meeting will highlight what the 4-H Youth Rison Community Club will look like.

Youth between the ages of 5-19 are welcome, along with parents and volunteers.

The program is expected to feature Frank Wilson of Rison, who was recently featured in the 2022 Arkansas 4-H Donor Impact Report magazine, “4-H Grown.”

Wilson, co-owner of Wilson Brothers Lumber Company, credits 4-H for teaching him leadership and speaking skills he’s used for over 50 years.

Wilson joined the Cleveland County 4-H club in 1956.

“If it hadn’t been for 4-H, I wouldn’t be where I am now. The kids who are involved in it now don’t yet realize the impact it’s going to have on their lives from here on out,” he told the magazine.
