Woodlawn 4-H Club

Woodlawn Community Club 4-H kids last month learned about food and nutrition which focuses on our healthy living component of 4-H. Foods and Nutrition projects help the youth to learn to make healthy food choices and reduce the risk of illness and disease. Learning experiences center on nutrition, menu planning, and food buying. Food preparation techniques and food safety are also emphasized in this project area. The kids learned about cooking utensils and how to properly use them. They also learned how to read a recipe and how to navigate throughout the kitchen while cooking a dish from beginning to end. They made chocolate covered banana pops and banana smoothies. If you would like for your child to be apart of the Woodlawn Community Club, please feel free to join us April 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the Center Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Fall. 60 Cole Rd, Rison, AR 71665.
