Woodlawn Homecoming Ceremonies Next Week

WOODLAWN - Woodlawn High School will begin the 2023 Homecoming Activities Thursday, Oct. 12 with the annual afternoon Homecoming Ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. School will be dismissed at the conclusion of the ceremony. On Thursday evening, the Homecoming Ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. for spectators to be admitted. The ceremonies will end with the crowning of the 2023 Football Sweetheart and the 2023 Homecoming Queen. This year's theme is "What I was made for." The Senior Court includes: Kaylea Chastain, escorted by Senior Jackson Fitzgibbon; Skylar Conner, escorted by Junior Garrett Weatherford; Hanna Cook, escorted by Senior Aiden Johnson; Anna Fitzgibbon, escorted Senior Brayden Jones; Chloe Hargis escorted by Junior Ethan Oliver; Faith Hisaw, escorted by Junior Ethan Adair; Lily Lephiew, escorted by Junior Landan Johnson; Macie May, escorted Senior Steven Adair; Alyssa Parker, escorted by Junior Cole McDaniel; Anna Scott, escorted by Senior Daxton White; Laci Sharp, escorted by Junior Aden Moore; Erin Claire West escorted by Senior Brayden Kitchens. This year's Mistress of Ceremonies will be Keeli Stewart and Aubree Wright and the Masters of Ceremonies is Eli Franks. The Mascots will be Alexis Spakes and Colt McClain, both first graders at Woodlawn. Football games will begin that night at 5 p.m. The homecoming queen, Sweetheart and maids will be introduced between the games. There will be NO Homecoming Dance on Friday night. There will however be a Formal Dance on Saturday, Oct. 14 for 10-12 grade students in the cafeteria from 710 p.m., tickets are $12 per person. ...
