HARMONY GROVE The Rison Junior Wildcats fell 28-6 at Harmony Grove Ouachita County Thursday night in a game plagued with penalties and turnovers.Following a back and forth battle in the first quarter Rison's Logan McGarrity appeared to have scored on a nine-yard quarterback keeper, however an inadvertent whistle forced the play to be called dead at the one-yard line with 46 seconds remaining in the quarter. McGarrity would punch it in on the next play for the first score of the game. The two-point conversion was no good, giving the Wildcats the 60 advantage with 39 seconds remaining in the opening quarter.Harmony Grove found pay dirt on a 54-yard run by Gannon Hall with 1:07 remaining in the first half, adding the two-point conversion to go up 8-6 over the Wildcats.Rison began driving the field when Harmony Grove forced then recovered a fumble, however, Payne Prescott picked off a Hornets pass on the next play giving the 'Cats a shot before the half ended. The 'Cats were able to get it into Harmony Grove territory down to the 32yard line before time expired in the half.Harmony Grove scored on the opening possession on a 36-yard run by Dre Billingsley with 7:30 remaining in the third quarter. The two-point try was no good, giving the Hornets a 14-6 lead.The Wildcats attempted to drive the field again before a second fumble was forced and recovered by Harmony Grove with 4:36 remaining in the period. However, the Wildcats recovered a Harmony Grove fumble on the next play before a series of penalties set the Wildcats up with 2nd and 30.
